How you can be a partner in feeding the hungry

Some Answers

"Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name. "They will be mine," says the LORD Almighty, "in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not." (Malachi 3:16-18)

  1. How do I sign up to get food?
  2. There is a 3rd Sunday distribution for those who are in need of food, clothing or a Bible. Please call 918-651-3264 to make an appointment.

*Under special, EMERGENCY circumstances, we will open the center up at times other than Sunday.

  3. Why do you insist that anyone receiving food must come to the center?
  4. The Christ’s Food Center has been organized for the sole purpose of sharing the Bread of Life in our community. We know that the spiritual food that comes from the devotion and prayer time is more important that the physical food we give out. This is why we do not allow someone to take food to another family.

  5. What happens if I miss my appointment?
  6. If you know beforehand that you will be unable to make it, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible so that the food may be used for others. You will need to reschedule an appointment time. While we never turn anyone away, anyone without an appointment will receive an "emergency" menu.

  7. Why do you discourage sharing the food I receive with my neighbors?
  8. We always have emergency food available for anyone who is hungry. You will help your hungry neighbor more by bringing them to CFC to receive food.

  9. What do I do with the food I don't want?
  10. Remember the basic rule, "Take only what you want and want what you take." There is no penalty for not taking a food item you will not eat or do not want. And please, do not hoard this food. God provides enough each month for everyone's needs.

  11. What are the Bible classes on Wednesday evenings?
  12. If you desire a deeper understanding of the Bible, its lands, places, people, of what God expects from you, then these classes are for just what you are looking for. New Christian or old, or someone who may be hearing God's call for the first time, these classes will help you with your relationship with God.

The Bible classes take place here at the food center every Wednesday night at 7:30.
